VISIT WITH RELATIVES

Some of my sister's children, their children, their children's children live in Vegas, but it is very rare to get them together in the same space.  However, we did it.

It was a fine visit with everyone there.

Chris, Val, Mike, Jan, Josh, Sabastian, Brendan, George (William), Melanie, Big Jimmy, Little Jimmy.

Val did the inviting and coordination of the event. She is very capable and certainly an addition to this family.

Chris made some great wings on the gas grill and coated them with Frank's hot sauce. They ordered in some pizzas and Val made a great salad which included some of the green peppers from their garden.

There was plenty of good banter, fun jokes, stories, discussions of current issues. We played a game called Cards Against Humanity which was a bit off color at times, but a great game for a large group.

I won not one round.

But the fun was in the playing. Cards with blanks were filled in with cards with answers, all very funny.

Pie came also. I had small tastes. Along with the pizza, it did spike my sugar a bit, but it sure was a treat.

George talked again of wanting the 6th Harry Potter book. I forget the name but maybe I'd recognize it.

Baby Sebastian was really quite cute and very easy. He was content if held and also did some sleeping. Both Jan and Josh took good care of him and that certainly makes for easy parenting.

The boys were very well behaved and easy to control. Nice to see that. They are very cooperative and do what they are told.

Josh showed me his homemade poncho-like overshirt. It was done from a Mexican blanket and some pieces of towing straps. It was very interesting. All made by him. He offered to make me one.

He is an interesting and very fine addition to this family.

I tried to get Mike interested in a slow cooker, especially since he is a Vegan, but he was not having any of it. “Too much work,” he said. He eats using the microwave. So sad to that he is so unable to embrace adventures.

Here are all of them except the littlest who was sleeping.
