TR Snippet - One of Many fisherman at the poker tables

One interesting fellow I met at the Sam's Town poker tournament lived in Colorado, but traveled to Del Rio, Texas to fish. He told me all about the place and how I might go there and visit the coffee shop in the morning and perhaps connect with a fisherman who would take me fishing for the price of gasoline. There were no boats to rent, but trailers could be rented at the Holiday Travel Park. The bass fishing was very good.
One interesting program is the Texas lunker program. If a 13 pound fish is caught, the program will take it live, check its DNA and if it is of a particularly desirable Florida type, breed it and stock with its eggs. Is suppose it sends out into the water fish that have a good chance of growing big like their Momma Bass.
Sixty miles away there is also an Indian casino where they deal live poker. A good time to go is October-April as it is not too hot then.
I have forgotten this fellow's name, but he was fun to talk with before the tournament. He did better than I did for two days, getting to the final table. Otherwise he does not gamble much. His wife likes the slots and goes through hundreds. He tolerates a few free days at Sam's every now and again, but he'd rather be fishing.
