Hey there Dewey, just got back from Vegas. I couldn't find anything there on the WEX. I rode the bus from the airport to the palms. just took the normal routes (Swenson to Flamingo).
Also, the Palms now has a $12.50 resort fee. I didn't know that when I booked my room. The whispered a host could maybe take care of it etc. I complained and did call a host too. We'll see if I get refunded (I checked out after 1 night, was supposed to be a 3 night stay). But I won't stay at the Palms anymore probably due to the resort free.

The WAX, Westcliff Ariport Express would not have helped you go to the Palms. The closest it would get would be NYNY. So your bus route was the way to go.
Sorry about the resort fee. I did hear that was happening on one of the boards.
If I were you, if I got no satisfaction from the Palms, I'd take steps to dispute the charge on the charge card unless that has been paid in a prior month.
Sad to see these resort fees spreading so many places. I'm happy CET (the Harrah's casinos) took a stand against them.
I did see the Westcliff Airport Express map there at the Ground Zero kiosk where I bought my 24 hour bus pass and caught the bus., I didn't realize that was the WAX.
I'm still figuring it out and it'll change before my next visit I'm sure.

I had a host call from the Palms yesterday and apologize about how long it's been (I checked out a week ago). He said he had to get a new phone, blah blah blah. But he is crediting me the resort fee $12.50 (I only stayed one night). He also said the resort fee is wildly unpopular (surprise). Anyway, it's resolved.

Wonderful. Nice follow up. The hosts must hate these fees. They destroy that warm, fuzzy feeling that the casino is our friend and reveal the ugliness of their greed.
El Cortez Cabana looks better every day.
