Have to do Laundry?

Most casinos do not have laundry facilities. People who need to wash out things can easily do a few things right in the room. The dry air of Vegas makes things dry quickly. But if you are staying a while (like me) and need to find a laudromat, here is a link that includes some suggestions.

I have used a laudromat just down the street from the Orleans but needed a car to access it, or the desire to walk a long way with a rolling suitcase. I am not sure if the one I used is the one often recommended on this site.

Massage

One Vegas luxury is getting a good massage. I do not like massage much so I am not much of a source of information. Elizabeth has been to the Palms and to the Orleans and liked both. If you have more questions, I'll do more research but

Here are some thread discussions:

Update on Stratosphere- especially for Dec4-9

Some of you have expressed some interest in the Stratosphere, and so far it is one of the best deals for that cowboy time (dec 4-dec 10) especially for newbies who are going to be light on gambling and heavy on seeing the sights.

The Stratosphere

will match any price you get anywhere so that means it can be booked early, directly with the hotel, and you will not have a cancelation fee for changes in plans.

It might be one to book if you would like the insurance of knowing you have a room available.

Their current promotion only runs through Sept 30th but it has some nice features: %25 off rack rate with lots of free or 2 for 1 tickets thrown in. Hopefully they will repeat that deal for December.

check out their website:

And a funny review of the casino:

Laughlin Deals

If any of you are thinking of a couple days away from Vegas here is one spot a couple hours out of Vegas. People's feelings are mixed about this little row of casinos along the Colorado River. It is an older crowd, more realxed, less glitz and some hate that. The gambling is good. Arizona is just across the river and Route 66 is nearby. The Hoover Dam is not far. Anyway, I'll keep posting the latest Laughlin Deals on this post. (As is always the case weekend nights will be higher.)
